Stephanie Banszky · Visual Artist
Hello, I am Stephanie!
I am a visual artist that does acrylic/mixed media paintings, watercolour paintings, murals, fabric art, and printmaking. I live and work in Calgary (Mohkinstsis), Canada.
I am also a program designer and facilitator, community activator, and social change maker.
I have been working with community groups doing creative facilitation and advocacy projects since 1998. Since 2015 I have been working in the Art for Social Change and community based art practice world. Through public art, performances, interventions, and events I have worked with community members to build community projects they are proud of and share their voice through creative means. I am able to empower a diverse group to be able to dive deeper into the issues that are important to them and share their voices in creative ways. I have spend the majority of my career working in the non-profit field with immigrant, women, 2SLGBTQIA+, BIPOC and youth serving agencies. I plan and facilitate workshops that empower folks of diverse backgrounds to advocate on issues they are passionate about and make change in their communities.
